for many young people the idea of reading is not interesting at all, due to the facilities that technology has provided to the people, we just forgot the importance of reading a good book provide us.  Reading is not just pass your eyes all over in a book; because Reading means to let your imagination enter a many different worlds, also it represents culture, personal growth and enrichment of your vocabulary.

reading has shaped my character because you never become the same after you read a book. the knowledge that a book lets you allows to you to speak better and accurate. There is not better sensation than enjoy a book in the quiteness of our own company. This is my hobby, this is me and I would like almost all the people would like to read at least one book per trimester.

for all the Colombians is well known that the investment in the micro-enterprises is too small, it lets a huge lack of opportunities of cheerful and dynamics people to build their business. Keeping this in mind, I think the kind of person that  should receive loans  are the micro-business man, because they fortify the  Colombian economy, they create job’s opportunities and new ideas for the market.

in this order of ideas I would help Blanca because her business is more profitable and the incomes will come soon, because the product she sells is a food first need in the menu of the normal people in Colombia. It also provides the opportunity for Blanca to increase her business to improve her economical situation not only in a especial season but always.

AfroColombians situation in the country

for everyone who knows the situation of the AfroColombians, this video is an invitation to actualized what is going on to this subculture of our country. Economically speaking, the 76% percent of this population live in poverty. Aso, 42% of them live in a unemployed situation,  more of their work is related to handicraft and ilegal issues. In the education stadistics 2 of each 100 afrocolombians kids go to the college, almost the majority of them are illiterate. However, Government should work more for improve that situation; Afrocolombians represent our rich culture and we should take care about them 

TUAREG CULTURE

1. from the video, we can appreciate   clearly the characteristics of the way of wearing of the African people, especially those who live in the desert. Taureg Culture as a nomad people who live almost all their live in the desert, they presserve they rituals and beliefs from a huge heritance of centuries ago.  Many of this ritual are practiced joined to music and it represents feelings, beliefs and religious issues.

2. keeping in mind the context of the Tuareg Culture and what is the mean reason of the lyrics of the song, is clear that even nowadays they exist strong cultures that keep hanging on the globalizated world; the lyrics are very helpful in order to understand what they want to say and the visual aids can improve the vision of what they are doing, during the ritual. both of them are important to understand the deeper sense of this amazing nomad culture. 

Barranquilla: the America’s cultural capital of 2013

1. Barranquilla was choosen as America’s cultural capital due to its focus as a city rich in cultural issues and long tradition with the celebration of the carnivals, event that represents the identity of the north coast of Colombia; it joined to the hard work that the local goverment made for gained this award.

2. This award is  going to represent the increase of the economical movement in the city, also It will increase the values of the properties, more constrution and improvement for all the urban Area of Barranquilla.

From the reading of http://mulkatime.blogspot.com/2012/01/two-worlds-collide.html, a English teacher’s blog who teachs in Uganda, we can conclude the differences between both cultures and why they cannot achieve a good communication way to each other.

1. What different points of view do we see in this story?

a=/ in the story we could be able to see two points of view, one refering to the ‘white man’ and the second refering of what the ‘black man’ think about.  one example of the first one is the misundertanding of the ‘white man’ trying to get award why ‘black man’ do all this hard world, and He thinks  the black man do everything just looking for to annoy him.

2. Explain the reasons behind the miscommunication that occurred between these two men.

a=/ it is clear for everyone who read that story that the misunderstanding of this two man is caused by the huge difference between their level of culture based in the education, social level and at same time the place they come from.  effectively Intercultural communication cannot exist without a common knowledge between the participants, caracteristic that  our caracters donot have,  because one of them doesnot have any kind of education level and the other one doesnot have an special education to take a good conversation with a native person in a country in which He is a foreign.

Well, I don’t consider myself good introducing  myself, but I’m trying, I’m Álvaro and I’m student of mechanical engineering, I like to much to spend time expressing my point of views about whatever or reading something interesting, although It is like the opposite about what I said first, but  hey, is not the same to talk about yourself to talk about whatever.
